Membership Committee

  • Committee Meeting: Last Wednesday of the Month from 5:30pm - 6:30pm

The Membership committee is responsible for the development and implementation of programs to sustain and increase the membership of NOMA Central Texas. This includes the following;

  • monthly soft socials (with a major social happening every quarter)

  • increasing the number of paid members

  • helping convert new members to volunteers

  • ARE Support Initiative (includes study material and study groups to help applicants prepare and hold each other accountable)

  • Site Tours (highlighting work under construction or built work in Austin and San Antonio)

  • Holiday Party

Planning & Activities Committee

Our committee has several big events that we are planning for.

Project Pipeline – This is a 2 day, summer camp for middle and high school students that might be interested in Architecture.  We are planning on doing this in person at both UT Austin and UTSA this year with about 30 kids at each location. Flyers are due to be sent out soon and forms on website will be updated so that parents/students can sign up.   

Empowered Speaker Series – Planning is underway for our first speaker event.  Suggestions for Speaker and/or topic for next event are needed.

Communications Committee

  • Committee Meeting: 4th Tuesday of the Month from 12pm - 1pm

The Communications Committee is a standing committee with the goal of ensuring the visibility of the organization to the public in multiple formats, including website management, social media, and newsletters. The committee is always looking for information and events that align with the organization's mission to share with our members and with the public.
